PLA activities in the waters and airspace around Taiwan

1.Date：
6 to 6 a.m. (UTC+8) Wednesday to Thursday, Jan. 10-11

2.PLA activities：
15 PLA aircraft and 4 PLAN vessels around Taiwan were detected by 06:00 (UTC+8) today. 2 of the detected aircraft had entered Taiwan’s southwestern ADIZ. R.O.C. Armed Forces have monitored the situation and tasked CAP aircraft, Navy vessels, and land-based missile systems to respond to these activities.

3.PLA balloons：
Three PRC’s balloons were detected at 06:53 and 14:20 yesterday after crossing the median line of the Taiwan Strait at the location 84 nautical miles west of Keelung,  74 nautical miles northwest of Keelung, and 65 nautical miles northwest of Keelung respectively. The balloons’ altitude were approximately 23,000 and 25,000 feet respectively. The balloons headed east and sequentially disappeared at 08:15, 08:50 and 15:49 yesterday.
