Ministry of National Defense Released a Press Release Explaining the Matter of Discovering the “Flight Data Recorder (Black Box)”. (2020/1/3)
Ministry of National Defense expressed today (3rd) that in order to implement the investigation procedure at the crash site of the UH-60 helicopter, Inspector General Lieutenant General Huang Guo-ming led a total 49 Air Force and Army Special Forces officers and soldiers and went to the crash area today to collect evidence, and have discovered the “Flight Data Recorder” (black box) at 10:40. The ministry will deliver the black box to relevant units, including the Taiwan Transportation Safety Board, for assistance in data interpretation, in order to clarify the cause of the incident.
Ministry of National Defense expressed its gratitude toward each sector’s concern and assistance over this incident, and requests all media and sectors to refrain from speculated coverages to avoid confusion as relevant flight safety investigation procedures are still ongoing.
