On the 5th, the Ministry of National Defense stated that starting from 14:55, a total of 23 aircraft, including Chinese J-16 fighter jets, KJ-500 airborne early warning aircraft, various other types of fighter aircraft, aircraft with auxiliary power units, and drones were detected conducting activities over the sea. Among these, 19 aircraft crossed the median line and its extension, entering Taiwan’s northern, central eastern and southwestern airspace. These activities were coordinated with Chinese naval vessels as part of a "Joint Combat Readiness Patrol."
The ROC Armed Forces are closely monitoring the situation using intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (IRS) system. Mission aircraft, ships, and coastal defense systems have been appropriately deployed to respond to the situation.
