Ministry of National Defense Press Release
Time: 1240 hours, November 14, 2025
The Ministry of National Defense stated today (November 14) that the U.S. Government, on November 13 Eastern Time, completed the Congressional notification procedure for the Air Force case of “non-standard aviation spare parts and components” valued at USD 330 million, and published the information on the Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA) website. The sale is expected to formally take effect one month thereafter.
The Ministry of National Defense pointed out that, based on the Taiwan Relations Act and the Six Assurances, the United States continues to assist Taiwan in maintaining sufficient defensive capabilities, for which the Ministry expresses its gratitude. The provision of non-standard spare parts and components for F-16 and other aircraft types will not only help maintain Air Force combat readiness and consolidate air defense but will also strengthen defense resilience and enhance the capability to respond to PRC gray-zone incursions.
