Ministry of National Defense Press Release
Time: 1650 hours, July 8, 2025
The Ministry of National Defense stated today (July 8) that the Republic of China (ROC) Armed Forces’ Han Kuang 41 Exercise live-fire drills will commence tomorrow (July 9), integrating the three services to conduct a 10-day, 9-night, 24-hour continuous exercise, fully rehearsing various military operations for defense and civil-military coordination efforts.
The Ministry of National Defense noted that, under the requirements of realistic training, the ROC Armed Forces adopt a pragmatic approach, simulating various battlefield scenarios incorporated into the exercise plan. Consequently, any unexpected situations during the drills will be treated as part of the training, enabling personnel to gain experience and continuously enhance overall combat readiness.
The Ministry of National Defense further stated that, due to the extended duration of the exercise, units will operate day and night, frequently and for prolonged periods in areas such as streets, coastlines, and airspace, which may cause some inconvenience to the public’s daily life and traffic. The Ministry requests the public’s understanding and encourages generous support and encouragement for the personnel.
The Ministry of National Defense also explained that, during the exercise, the ROC Armed Forces’ actions and handling of unexpected situations are often targeted by individuals or coordinated groups to propagate “military distrust” and “false information.” The Ministry urges the public to remain vigilant and refrain from believing unverified information. The ROC Armed Forces personnel will resolutely fulfill their core training duties and steadfastly safeguard national security.
