The Ministry of National Defense (MND) stated today that starting from 14:50, a total of 27 People's Liberation Army (PLA) aircraft, including J-16 fighters, KJ-500 airborne early warning aircraft, and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), were detected operating around Taiwan as part of a joint combat readiness patrol. Among them, 20 aircraft crossed the median line of the Taiwan Strait and its extension, entering the northern, central, and southwestern airspace of Taiwan in coordination with PLA naval vessels.
The Republic of China (ROC) Armed Forces have closely monitored the situation through integrated intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) systems, and responded appropriately by deploying aircraft, naval vessels, and shore-based missile systems.
