The Ministry of National Defense (MND) said today (8th) that as of 08:20, it had successively detected a total of 18 sorties of PLA main and auxiliary fighter aircraft, including J-16s, KJ-500s, and UAVs for sea-faring activities, 15 sorties of which crossed the median line of the Strait and extended into our northern, central, and southwestern airspace as they worked out with PLA warships in conducting "joint combat readiness patrols." The Armed Forces adopted joint intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance measures to closely monitor the situation, and dispatched mission aircraft, ships, and shore-based missile systems to respond accordingly.
