The Ministry of National Defense (MND) stated today (6th) that a total of 20 aircraft sorties and 14 CCP vessel sorties were detected at 17:00, and they continue to conduct maneuvers around the Taiwan Strait to carry out joint sea and air exercises. The Armed Forces broadcasted an alarm and closely monitored the situation, resorting to air reconnaissance patrol forces, naval vessels, and shore-based missiles to respond appropriately.
The MND emphasized that the CCP military has established a no-navigation zone around the Taiwan Strait for several days as it holds exercises, which has unilaterally changed the current situation in the region and seriously jeopardized the peace of the Taiwan Strait. As such, all servicemen of the Armed Forces will prepare for war, yet will seek war, and will respond in such a way to avoid war and ensure national security is protected.
