The Ministry of National Defense issues a press release stating that "servicemen from the 564 Armor Brigade were injured during a combat vehicle appraisal operation"
The Ministry of National Defense (MND) stated today (21st) that an accident occurred and two non-commissioned officers, whose surnames are Jiang and Chuan, were injured as the 564 Armor Brigade of the Army carried out a combat vehicle appraisal operation at the Joint Operations Training Base. The wounded servicemen were immediately sent to hospital by the unit for treatment.
In accordance with President's instructions, the MND coordinates military medical resources to issue medical care. The Office of the Inspector General has already set up a special task team to head south to the Joint Operations Training Base and conduct a special investigation to clarify the cause of the accident and reinforce training safety procedures.
