Naval Command issues a press release stating that "a S-70C anti-submarine helicopter under the command of the Anti-submarine Aviation Group was forced to execute a hard landing due to a suspected equipment failure" (June 22, 2022)

Naval Command stated today (22nd) that a S-70C anti-submarine helicopter (No. 2303) of the Anti-submarine Aviation Group was forced to execute a hard landing on the runway of Zuoying Shen Ying Base due to a suspected equipment failure. The incident caused injury to four people: the pilot, co-pilot, mechanic chief and examiner, who were immediately sent to the Zuoying Branch of Kaohsiung Armed Forces General Hospital for treatment.


Naval Command further stated that Command is assisting the hospital in providing the best treatment for the injured servicemen, and has also requested that this helicopter be immediately suspended from mission dispatch and a special safety inspection carried out. The special task force will report on the investigation into the causes of the helicopter accident.
