Command of the 4th Combat Zone said today (20th) that a Thunderblt-2000 rocket did not break away from the bracket for unknown reasons during a shooting exercise this morning. The propellant suddenly caught fire, resulting in the vehicle breaking down. During the exercise, all servicemen involved were unharmed and the unit responded in accordance with emergency response procedures.
Command of 4th Combat Zone pointed out that the National Chung Shan Institute of Science and Technology and an Army task force have researched, analyzed, and clarified the cause of the malfunction and this incident will be used as a reference for future shooting training to improve training effectiveness and enhance the combat readiness of troops.
