The Ministry of National Defense issues a press release on "Post Adjustments of Generals in the Armed Forces"

The Ministry of National Defense (MND) stated today (14th) that with the approval of the President, the posts of Generals of the Armed Forces will be adjusted as follows:

1. The strategic advisor to the President's Office will be transferred from the President of National Defense University, Admiral Chang Che-ping; the President of National Defense University will be transferred from Navy Commander, Admiral Liu Chi-bin; the Navy Commander will be transferred from the Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the General Staff Headquarters; the Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the General Staff Headquarters will be transferred from the Deputy Chief of Staff of the General Staff Headquarters, and Lieutenant General Cheng Rong-feng was also promoted to the second-level General of the Air Force.

2. Lieutenant General Cheng Rong-feng, Deputy Chief of Staff of the General Staff Headquarters, is a graduate of the 1984 class of the Air Force Academy, and 2009 class of the War Academy. He served as Commander of Air Force Combat Command, Chief of Staff of Air Force Command, Deputy Commander of Air Force Command and other important posts, and he has a comprehensive academic background and a lot of experience to his name. He has made great contributions to guiding major tasks in relation to military strategy and combat readiness throughout his tenure in his most recent post. He was specially promoted to be the Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the General Staff Headquarters so that the Armed Forces can continue to lean from his abundant experience and continue to facilitate military buildup, war preparations and other missions.

3. The aforementioned transfer cases shall take effect on June 16, 2022.
