Air Force Command issues a press release stating that "the light of a AT-3 training aircraft disappeared"

Air Force Command stated today (31st) that a AT-3 trainer aircraft (No. 0852) of the Air Force Academy, piloted by Hsu Da-jun, a second lieutenant student of the Academy, commenced routine training at 0803 and lost connection at 0806, about five miles northeast of the airport. Air Force search and rescue services worked tirelessly, but Command was unfortunately informed by the Gangshan Fire Branch that it had found the aircraft wreckage and the pilot's body in an open space in front of Tiancuo 1st Road, Gangshan District.
Air Force Command further stated that a contingency center has been set up and an investigation team has been dispatched to carry out an investigation into the incident. Command is deeply saddened by the death of an excellent pilot, and will follow the instructions of the President to fully explore the cause of the incident and assist the pilot's family members through this difficult time.
