Air Force Command issues a press release stating that the "crash remnant (black box) of the flight data recorder (black box)" of the F-16 fighter jet was found
Air Force Command said today (17th) that the "crash remnant of the flight data recorder" (black box)" was found in the evening during search operations into the F-16 fighter flight accident on the 11th of this month after search personnel dedicated themselves to this operation. The black box will be sent to professional units for subsequent appraisal to clarify the cause of the accident.
Air Force Command would like to express its thanks to all parties for their concern and assistance in this case. Although the situation from enemies remain severe, the Air Force has, as it is responsible for first-line air defense, never relented in its efforts, and will strive to achieve its mission as it takes into account national interests considering both combat readiness and flight safety. At present, Command has set up a special investigation committee, which has invited the Taiwan Transportation Safety Board and experts and scholars to offer objective and impartial input into a case report before the cause of the accident can be disclosed.
