Naval Fleet Command stated today (3rd) that the soldiers whose surnames are Ke, from Tian Shan warship, and Dong, from the Anti-submarine Aviation Brigade, were in an accident while riding a motorcycle after drinking during their vacation on December 31, 2021. The case is currently under investigation by the police and subsequent prosecution will be handled according to law.

Naval Fleet Command further stated that it would, in addition to expressing deep regret over the incident, manage the situation accordingly to maintain military reputation based on the rule of strict assessment and elimination of such incidences. Command has worked according to the regulations and convened a penalty evaluation meeting, which approved a punishment of "Three De-merits" to serviceman Ke, who has been dismissed from the service without leniency. Furthermore, education of the law and discipline will be continuously addressed for officers and soldiers and this case will be used as an example to prevent the recurrence of similar cases.
