Air Force Command issues a press release stating that "the scratches on the F-16V was caused by a pilot's violation of flight discipline"

In response to media reports that "the scratches on the F-16V was caused by a pilot's violation of flight discipline", Air Force Command sternly refutes the report today (25th), noting that the content of the report was "not true" and completely incorrect. Command urges the media not to speculate with wild reports that mislead the general public and affect the morale of the Armed Forces.

Air Force Command further clarified that when a F-16 fighter aircraft from the Hualien base of the Air Forces performed routine "air-to-ground" shooting training, two scratches to the surface were found upon inspection after landing. Later, a task force and US technical representative jointly investigated and concluded the investigation with a preliminary determination that indicated the pilot had not violated any shooting regulations or training issues, and the Air Forces has, for the time being, taken a number of improvement actions to prevent recurrence.
