Marine Corps Command issues a press release following statements that "a Marine Corps soldier fell off a building and died today" (September 12, 2021)
In response to media reports that "a Marine Corps soldier fell off a building and died today", Marine Corps Command stated today (12th) that a soldier of the 66th Marine Brigade fell off the top floor of his home during his day-off and was pronounced dead at the hospital. The case is currently being investigated by the Xinzhuang Precinct of the New Taipei City Police Department.
Marine Corps Command expresses its regret and condolences, and assigned high-level cadres to the family of the deceased to assist in any way they can. Command will also work with the prosecutors to clarify the case and help family members with funeral matters.
