Press Release of the 8th Army Command
Time: 1900, September 3, 2021
The 8th Army Command stated that the "Autumn Remembrance Ceremony in Commemorating the Fallen Soldiers of the Armed Forces for the Year 2021" was held today (3rd) at the Loyal Martyrs' Pagoda of the Armed Forces in Kaohsiung. Of the original ceremonial rites, the orchestration of the national anthem was missed. Nonetheless, all officers and soldiers participating in the festival as well as the families of the bereaved sung and expressed respect afterwards as the rites were carried out properly once again when the omission was noted by participants. This was carried with respect and grandeur.
The 8th Army has made an in-depth review of this negligence, and shall reflect profoundly to improve. Command is most grateful to the families of the deceased for their understanding and concern from all walks of life. It will also adhere to the patriotic spirit of martyrs and fallen soldiers, continue to implement the duty of military training, and inherit the important task of "protecting the country and people and guarding the homeland," and live up to the trust of our nationals.
