Taoyuan Armed Forces General Hospital issues a press release in response to media reports stating that "the Army 804 Hospital had non-qualified personnel vaccinate members of the general public in June."

In response to media reports that " the Army 804 Hospital had non-qualified personnel vaccinate members of the general public in June", Taoyuan Armed Forces General Hospital clarifies today (24th) that the so-called "unqualified personnel" have worked in wards as specialized caretakers for a long time engaging in patient care, and so are actually the first category of individuals to administer government-funded vaccines as stipulated by the central government. The hospital had already completed identity verification checks of said personnel before the vaccine was administered, and they administered inoculations based on the prepared roster.

Taoyuan Armed Forces General Hospital emphasizes that it included such caretakers on the list for vaccines when the epidemic was severe in efforts to safeguard the safety of other medical staff and patients in the hospital. The measures taken were also conducted according to the regulations announced by the central government to ensure normal medical treatment and to protect the health of our nationals.
