In response to media reports that "servicemen of the Information, Communication, and Electronic Warfare Command in violation of the social standing between men and women were severely punished and terminated from the Armed Forces", the aforementioned Force Command stated today (13) that the unit had immediately conducted an administrative investigation after it was informed accordingly, and held an appraisal meeting with human resources based on the investigation results. In the meeting, the parties concerned were dismissed from their posts with two major de-merits as a penalty and were also removed from the Armed Forces. Additionally, the meeting also reviewed the supervision responsibilities of commanders.
The Information, Communication, and Electronic Warfare Force Command stressed that the servicemen in cases found to have violated military codes will be severely punished according to the law, and will be exempt from any leniency in order to uphold the requirements of military discipline. The Command will cite this case as an example for fellow military officers to follow and drive home the education of military law, and to strengthen internal management; thus avoiding similar cases happening again.
