The General Headquarters of Navy issued a press release in response to the media reports stating that "the price of underwater propellers purchased by Marine Corps is way much higher than that of the market" (June 23, 2021)
In response to media reports that "the price of underwater propellers purchased by Marine Corps is way much higher than that of the market," the General Headquarters of the Navy stated today (23) that the content of media reports is pure speculation and not factual.
The Naval Command further stated that the Command has worked in accordance with Government Procurement Act and publicly solicited business information via on the Internet in July 2019 for the needs of arms build-up project. After analysis and comparison, the Command appropriated the budget required for this case, while all efforts made are fully in line with relevant regulations of procurement. As such, the Command should call on the nationals for support.
