The Ministry of National Defense issued a press release clarifying the report that "Hsin Chu Armed Force Hospital is suspected of carrying out illegitimate vaccinations"

In response to the media report that "Hsin Chu Armed Force Hospital is suspected of illegitimate vaccinations," the Ministry of National Defense (MND) stated today (10) that the president of the Hsin Chu Branch of Taoyuan Armed Force General Hospital has been questioned by outsiders for failing to comply with relevant vaccination regulations. In addition to expressing his apology to the outside world, the president of the Hsin Chu Branch admitted that he had not considered the issue carefully enough and had also already taken the initiative to report to the MND for disciplinary measure on his own accord.

The MND further pointed out that medical personnel of the Armed Forces have devoted themselves to epidemic prevention work since its outbreak and have assisted in opening fast screening stations and special wards, as well as supported local governments in terms of medical care tasks. The MND tendered an apology for external discussions and comments brought about by this case, will review the responsibilities of personnel, and has immediately re-arranged the duty of the president of the Hsin Chu Branch.
