The Ministry of National Defense (MND) issues a press release and stating revised practices to work with the extension of the nationwide Level-3 Epidemic Alert until June 14
The MND stated today (25th) that it has implemented revised practices in response to the announcement of the “Nationwide Level-3 Epidemic Alert Extended Until June 14” by the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC), and elaborates on these measures as follows:
- To maintain the health and safety of officers and soldiers as well as take the geographical characteristics of outlaying islands into account, servicemen stationed at garrison areas of outlaying islands were originally ordered to suspend returning to Taiwan from May to May 28 for holidays. The suspension is extended until June 14. For these holidays affected, compensatory rest will be implemented as soon as the epidemic subsides. If officers and soldiers at the garrison areas have special family and personal emergencies, they can apply for leave according to the prescribed procedures.
- Fundamental education as well as programs for master and doctoral classes in all military schools and academies will be conducted online at home. This has been extended until June 14. All schools and academies should complete family contact, and force cadres should implement online teaching and check safe and healthy conditions of students (members) every day.
