The Air Force issues a press release stating that "an Indigenous Defensive Fighter (IDF) was performing routine training missions but deviated from the runway"

Air Force Command states today (5th) that one of its IDF fighter planes landed at 12:38 as it returned to Magong Base after completing its routine training tasks at noon, but the fighter jet deviated from the runway during the deceleration process. The serviceman and the plane were both safe, while the runway was temporarily closed and reopened at 13:41. Five civil aircraft departures were affected.

Air Force Command has set up a task force to investigate the cause of the incident, and expressed its sincerest apologies for the inconvenience caused that resulted in delays of civil aircraft and passengers.
