In response to media reports that "a non-commissioned officer had violated regulations by looking into classified information, but was oddly only put on probation," the Navy Education, Training, and Standards Development Command stated today (20) that Petty Officer Wu, who was originally discharged from the technical school, had stolen another’s account to log into the "Human Resources Management in the National Army System." Having verified the act as true, the Command gave Petty Officer Wu two major de-merits and eliminated him from service after review by the check-up system on January 16, 2019.
The Naval Education, Training, and Standards Development Command further states that it will respect the judgment awarded by the High Court. It will further continue to strengthen military and legal education in response to incidents of officers and soldiers who have violated the law. Furthermore, it will adhere to the principle of retaining the superior and eliminating the inferior for servicemen who violate the law in order to prevent the recurrence of similar cases.
