Elaboration is offered by the Air Force with regard to media reports that "the remains of martyr Pan Ying-chun, code-named project 0322 by Command, had been found”
Air Force Command states today (18th) that the Amphibious Reconnaissance and Patrol Unit, which was dispatched by the Search and Rescue Advance Command Post, has found the remains of martyr Pan Ying-chun, code-named "Project 0322" by Command at 0702 by Jiupeng on the shore of Nanren fishing port. Command would like to take this opportunity to thank all colleagues who devoted their time and effort in the search and rescue.
Air Force Command further states that it expresses its deep regret and reluctance over the death of the two outstanding pilots in this incident. As for the follow-up, it will work closely with the district prosecutors’ office to handle the investigation and assist family members with funeral matters.
Air Force Command emphasizes that it has thoroughly reviewed the causes of the crash, re-examined various maintenance and repairs, and strictly required its subordinates to implement various combat readiness training and risk management to prevent the recurrence of similar situations.
