1. Introduction to class and squad:
(1) The recruitment of class and squad by the Armed Forces for year 2021 is divided into nine squads of three categories: officers, non-commissioned officers, and soldiers. In total, the MND has planned to recruit 18,294 personnel. Among them, officer squads include regular classes from military academy and the university reserve officer training corps (ROTC), flight standing officers, second officers, professional officers, bachelor class of national defense, as well as junior high and senior high from the Chung Cheng Armed Forces Preparatory School. For non-commissioned officers and soldier squads, there will be a two-year non-commissioned officer class, a professional non-commissioned officer class, and a voluntary military service squad.
(2) In 2020, the class and squad officers planned to recruit 3,618 members. 4,185 members were recruited in the end, with an achievement rate of 115.67%. As for the recruitment of non-commissioned officers, it was first planned to recruit 2,122 members. 2,009 members were recruited, with an achievement rate of 94.67%. For recruitment of volunteer military soldiers, 13,080 members were initially planned to be recruited, but this number was exceeded and 14,846 were recruited, with an achievement rate of 113.5%. The overall achievement rate of recruitment for officers, non-commissioned officers, and soldiers totals 111.8%.
