Army Command issues a press release clarifying media reports that "the deputy director of the Army Combined Maintenance Facility collapsed and died, and there was no medical treatment that could have saved him."

The 6th Army Command states that Major Su of the Taipei Combined Maintenance Facility from the 3rd Regional Support Command was found dead on the ground at 9 am today (2nd). The cause of death is still unknown. After being sent to hospital for emergency medical treatment, he was declared dead. After the incident occurred, the unit sealed off the site and notified the district MP, while another task force was assembled to conduct an investigation.

The 6th Army Command expresses its regret and condolences for the loss of the officer.
