The Ministry of National Defense issues a press release stating that a US combat vessel sailed through the Taiwan Strait (February 4, 2021)
The Ministry of National Defense (MND) states today (4th) that a US combat vessel sailed from north to south through the Taiwan Strait, and continued to travel southbound.
The MND points out that US combat vessels sail through the Taiwan Strait as they perform regular navigation missions, and the Armed Forces resorts to joint intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance to master relevant developments at sea and in the airspace around Taiwan. All conditions are believed to be normal.
