The Army Command Headquarters issued a press release regarding the press coverage titled “Disaster relief garments to be dispensed to active duty members for permanent possession”

“Army: Disaster relief garments to be dispensed to active duty members for permanent possession”

In response to the media coverage “Military breathable combat outfits need to be returned,” the Army Logistics Command said they have begun dispensing disaster relief garments to active duty members for their personal possession, meaning the clothing does not need to be returned. Details are as follows:

  1. The military used to dispense disaster relief garments to participating personnel due to limited amount. Therefore the garments needed to be returned because they were distributed on a “group” basis rather than to individual members.

  1. As of the time being, such garments have been sufficiently stocked. Each member participating in any disaster relief assignment is entitled to 2 pieces upon registration in the designated portal and will not need to return the clothing upon completion of the mission.
