“Sub-replacement Fertility Annihilates Command Headquarters of the Armed Forces, 50 Stars May Be Destroyed” ? Ministry of National Defense: Speculated Coverage Attempting to Differentiate Armed Forces!
Regarding the media coverages of “Sub-replacement Fertility Annihilates Command Headquarters of the Armed Forces, 50 Stars May Be Destroyed”, “Ministry of National Defense Convening Response Strategy Group Meeting Against Sub-replacement Fertility, and Virtualizing Command Headquarters of the Armed Forces to be Incorporated Into the Issues of the Analysis Report”, and “Armed Forces Continue to Slim Down”, Ministry of National Defense has solemnly refuted today (17th) that it has never convened the above-mentioned meetings, and has never discussed the relevant issues described by the media, for they are all “false messages” without any factual basis that attempt to differentiate the Armed Forces. The ministry will not rule out the possibility to take legal action against the writer, in order to establish a correct understanding of the matter.
Ministry of National Defense pointed out that in order to respond to future enemy threats and the trend of sub-replacement fertility, as well as prospect the army establishment planning and requirements of joint combat, it continues to implement rolling adjustment on national defense organization and force structure in accordance with overall defensive conception and with the integration of the promotion of the recruitment system, so as to construct a force structure and scale that is optimal for combat effectiveness, as well as ensure smooth implementation of join combat missions.
Ministry of National Defense emphasized that the innovation of national defense affairs is of great concern to national security, and hereby requests all media to shoulder social responsibility by verifying all sources before publishing in order to prevent false converges and misleading the public.
