Ministry of National Defense issued a press release to explains the incident of “the content broadcasted live on Facebook by an account named Chen, Yi is a serious defamation of military’s image”.
The Ministry of National Defense elaborates today (27th) on the incident that the content broadcasted live on Facebook by an account named Chen, Yi, in which Chen says “most recruited soldiers are losers” is a serious defamation of military’s image. The Ministry of National Defense condemns such act.
The Ministry of National Defense points out that the armed forces believe in core values of “protecting the nation and its people” and put many efforts in warfare training and disaster rescues to ensure national security and regional stability. In times where the armed forces are all busy in disaster rescues, the woman, whose last name is Chen, says defamatory words on soldiers who have sacrificed themselves in rescue missions and definitely has no good intentions but to create divisions among the military and civilians. The Ministry of National Defense has collected evidence and filed lawsuit to demand justice for the armed forces.
The Ministry of National Defense calls for the public to continue to support the armed forces, which have sacrificed and gave so much in carrying out war preparations against enemy threats as well as carrying out disaster rescues to ensure national security and all citizens’ safety. The Ministry of National Defense pleads that the public do not say defamatory opinions on the armed forces.
