The Army Aviation and Special Forces Command stated that during late night yesterday (26th) at its affiliated Wuhan Camp, a citizen of surname Li held a knife and followed the vehicle of post-vacation personnel, who attempted to trespass the campsite and snatch the guard’s weapon. The perpetrator was subdued on the spot by Guard Captain Chen and the duty officer, then police were contacted to bring the perpetrator to the station. The incident is now being investigated by the Zhongxing Police Station of the Longtan Branch.
The Army Aviation and Special Forces Command has recognized the gate guard for fulfilling his responsibility, and the appropriate response and disposal, which has effectively prevented further incident within the campsite; his action will be publicly commended by the command, and the incident will be used as a propaganda example, where campsite gate control and the response capability training of gate guards will also be improved further to ensure the overall camp safety.
