    The Ministry of National Defense (MND) stated today (18th) that as of 07:10, it had successively detected 15 sorties of various main and auxiliary PLA fighter aircraft, including J-16s, KJ-500s, and others engaged in sea-faring activities, 12 sorties of which crossed the median line of the Strait and extended into our northern, central, and southwestern airspace as they worked out with PLA warships in conducting "joint combat readiness and patrols". The MND also understands that the PLA simultaneously fired multiple rockets in the inland Gansu area. The Armed Forces adopted joint intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance measures to closely monitor the situation, and dispatched mission aircraft, warships, and shore-based missile systems to respond accordingly.
