The Ministry of National Defense (MND) stated that as of this morning (5th), it had detected that the CCP had carried out a satellite launch mission on board the Long March rocket system at the Xichang Satellite Launch Center in Sichuan. The flight altitude of the rocket was outside the atmosphere and posed no threat to Taiwan. Nonetheless, since the flight path passed through the southwest edge of our air defense identification zone (ADIZ), the Armed Forced adopted combined intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance system to closely monitor trends and developments of the rocket, trajectories, and other information to provide appropriate warning and response.
