Time: July 23, 2023 at 14:20

In response to media reports that "an interruption to system circuits has affected command and control", Information, Communications, and Electronic Force Command stated today (23rd) that the command and control system of the Armed Forces has multiple backup and emergency response measures. Hence, the interruption of some general circuits resulting from a system abnormality on the 17th this month only affected direct voice and data transmissions, whereas command and control operations and combat aviation control in the Armed Forces operated as normal.

The Information, Communications, and Electronic Force Command emphasized that it will continue to work with the National Chung-Shan Institute of Science and Technology to strengthen fault management and control mechanisms, and repeatedly test system backups and switches to ensure smooth communications of command and control to facilitate successful operations and information sharing among various combat missions in the Armed Forces.
