The Ministry of National Defense (MND) stated that since 8:00 on today, 4th, it had successively detected 24 sorties of J-10, J-11, J-16, Cy-30 MKI, and H-6 CCP aircraft, and Y-8 anti-submarine aircraft, nine of which crossed the median line of the Strait and extending into the southwest airspace. A total of four warships exercised joint combat readiness and patrols. The Armed Forces adopted joint intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance measures to stay abreast of developments of the CCP armed forces throughout, and dispatched mission aircraft, warships, and shore-mounted missile systems to closely monitor the situation.
The MND reiterated that maintaining regional security and stability is the shared responsibility among all parties in the region. The international community also has a high degree of consensus on the issue, and it is believed that such provocative acts only serve to compromise regional security.
