Air Force Command issues a press release with respect to "the MQ-9B deal being Leshan Radar Station all over again, in which the US will profit while the ROC has to pay"
In response to media reports that "the MQ-9B deal is Leshan Radar Station all over again, in which the United States will profit while the ROC has to pay", Air Force Command clarified today (19th) that the contents of report are inconsistent with the facts, and has elaborated as follows:
1. We will make full use of all radar information obtained from the long-range early warning radar. Since the drone radar involves technological protection and high-tech export licensing, we have established a follow-up maintenance plan based on the arms sales channel to carry out repairs (maintenance) and related operations.
2. As for the MQ-9B satellite data link, it is transmitted and received by a dedicated confidential device, and we will make use of the information obtained, so there will not be any such situation where information will first be delivered to the US.
