The Ministry of National Defense (MND) stated today (2nd) that the surveillance and investigation units of the Armed Forces discovered that some civil aviation planes from the southeast coast of the mainland had partially gone off the flight course. The Armed Forces checked with the civil aviation unit, and learned that the Shanghai Flight Information Region (FIR) had notified our civil aviation unit about a slight flight deviation by civilian flights near Kinmen due to weather factors. The MND will continue to coordinate closely with civil aviation units for monitoring to ensure that our air defense security is meticulously safeguarded.
