Armed Forces Reserve Command issues a press release to clarify media reports about two soldiers falling off a roof that were not true.

In response to media reports that "Two servicemen from New Taipei City Reserve Command fell off a roof at night and were sent to hospital for emergency treatment", Armed Forces Reserve Command stated today (16th) that a serviceman whose surname is Ke from the Reserve Brigade of New Taipei City fell off the 3rd floor of the administrative building in the barracks around 18:00 on the evening of the 15th. After the incident came to light, the serviceman was immediately sent to hospital by ambulance. After diagnosis and treatment, he was found to have suffered from a pelvic fracture, and his condition was not considered to be life-threatening. He is still in hospital receiving treatment. Therefore, media reports that "two servicemen had fallen off a building" are not true.

 

Armed Forces Reserve Command pointed out that high-level cadres were assigned to the case, and family members were notified. Armed Forces Reserve Command is fully assisting the servicemen as he receives medical treatment, and has further assign special personnel to investigate and clarify the cause of the accident.
