8th Field Army Command issues a press release explaining the episode of "a car driven by a non-commissioned officer whose surname is Wang from the 4th Support Command collided with a civilian car."

The 8th Field Army stated today (16th) that a car driven by a non-commissioned officer whose surname is Wang from the 4th Support Command collided with a civilian car while traveling on Jiuru 4th Road in Kaohsiung City on the morning of April 13. After the collision, the non-commissioned officer reported the case to the police (neither party was intoxicated and no one was hurt). The case is now with the Gushan Branch of the Kaohsiung City Police Department for an investigation.
The 8th Field Army pointed out that it will work with the police in the investigation, and also use this case as an example to educate officers and soldiers on traffic rules and road safety to encourage them to be safer drivers.
