Kinmen Defense Command issues a press release explaining reports that "A private first class, whose surname is Chen, of Lieyu Garrison Battalion is missing"

Kinmen Defense Command stated today (9 th ) that a soldier whose surname is Chen
was reported as missing when Erdan Island Garrison of the Lieyu Garrison Battalion
conducted roll-call this morning. The unit immediately put together a search team,
however the soldier has not yet been found.
Kinmen Defense Command stated that it has already contacted the family
members of the soldier and they have arrived at Kinmen Assistance Office.
Command has also set up a task force to search for the soldier.
