The Ministry of National Defense issues a press release to clarify media reports that "The National Defense Industry Development Foundation has invested NT$700 million in a private drone manufacturer"

In response to reports by CredereMedia that "The National Defense Industry
Development Foundation has invested NT$700 million in a private drone
manufacturer", the Ministry of National Defense hereby clarifies that the report is
untrue. Since the National Defense Industry Development Foundation is a legal
foundation, its competent authority is the Executive Yuan. As such, any investment
proposal must be reviewed and approved by the board of directors before being sent
to the Executive Yuan for approval. There is currently no plan to invest in any
drone manufacturers, and the Ministry of National Defense calls on the media to
fulfill their responsibility and verify the facts before making any reports that could
mislead the general public.
