In response to media reports that "Water pipes in the camp area had cracked and female trainers had no hot water to take a bath", Army Education, Training, and Doctrine Development Command stated today (2nd) that the Infantry Training Command under its authority discovered that the wall of the female officers' and solders' dormitories had a water leakage over the Chinese New Year holiday. As such, the water pipeline was shut down and a contractor contacted for repair work on January 30. On February 1, the repair work was completed.

Army Education, Training, and Doctrine Development Command confirmed that the unit had arranged for the affected female officers and soldiers to go to other barracks so they could wash while repairs were ongoing. The situation was explained to local cadres to avoid misunderstandings. Command will review internal management and other improvement measures to ensure a similar situation does not occur again.
