Army Command issues a press release explaining the “accident involving a military vehicle by the 4th Support Command of the 8th Field Army"

The 8th Field Army Command stated that a medium-sized tactical wheeled vehicle of the 4th Regional Support Command under its command crashed into the median strip as it passed through No. 187 C county highway, Jiuru Township, Pingtung County, when carrying out a mission in the morning of the 26th. Two servicemen in the vehicle hit their heads, but were found conscious. Eight other servicemen suffered scrapes and contusions, and all were sent to hospital immediately. The case is being transferred to the Ligang Branch of the Pingtung County Police Department to investigate the cause of the incident.
The 8th Field Army stated that after it received reports of the incident, it assigned high-level cadres to handle the situation in full compliance with the medical team and police to investigate the cause of the incident. Command shall also continue to strengthen driving safety education as well as defensive driving concepts to ensure safe journeys on missions.
