Naval Command issues a press release following media reports stating that "the keel laying ceremony will be held for the first prototype vessel" (November 14, 2021)
In response to media reports that "the keel laying ceremony will be held for the first prototype vessel", Naval Command stated today (14th) that the Taiwan International Shipping Corporation (TISC) is referring to the keel-laying ceremony by European countries and the US, and plans on inviting the Commander, General Liu, and Chairman Cheng of the TISC to host the keel-laying ceremony for the prototype of the national-built submarine. It is hoped that the construction of the ship is smooth and keeps personnel safe. Command appeals to the support of our nationals for this event.
