The Ministry of National Defense (MND) released the press release, which elaborates that "The Ministry will work actively with the policy guidance of the Central Epidemic Command Center." (1st February, 2020)
The Ministry of National Defense said today (1) that epidemic prevention is considered a form of combat. Therefore, the Ministry will work actively with the policy guidance of the Central Epidemic Command Center and be fully committed to the task of epidemic prevention.
In working with the epidemic prevention requirements of the Central Epidemic Command Center, the Ministry of National Defense has reviewed all of the suitable vacant barracks and completed the related preparations for self-quarantine of health management, as well as containment within the barracks. For patients of confirmed cases, specialized hospitals designated by the Ministry of Health and Welfare will receive such patients for treatment, while military hospitals will also be included in the plan.
To work with the epidemic prevention enforcement authorities of the government, carry out related epidemic prevention work, and abide by the coordinated directions from the Central Epidemic Command Center, the Ministry of National Defense emphasized that it will conduct the most thorough planning and preparations and urge all its nationals to rest assured.
