Ministry of National Defense released Father’s Day image advertisement: I Salute to You
On the eve of Father’s Day, Ministry of National Defense released the image advertisement of “I Salute to You” through Facebook today (4th); the video is produced in a MV style that differs from emphasizing weapons and equipment from the past, and talks about the interaction between an Air Force flight officer and his children and family, as well as emphasizes how flight officers safeguard the airspace of the country, and are also the most loyal guardians of their families and the country.
Like the constantly repeated melody of “Love” and “Salute” in the video, solders treasure each reunited moment with their families, and extend their love towards their daughters to the country.
Mr. Lu Hsing-hua, lyricist and composer for this video, narrated that he grew up in the Zuoying military dependents’ village, and the “salute” gesture is particularly familiar to the children in military dependents’ village especially his father and uncles were all soldiers. “Salute” is endowed with the solemn connotation of emotion and respect, one that can be responded instantly, and possesses special meaning of how traditional soldiers love their families, shoulder responsibilities, and inherit honor.
In addition, some photos of soldiers’ children collected from the “Small Children Salute Photos”, which was hosted by Ministry of National Defense through its official Instagram page (@rocmid), have been included at the end of the video to express the biggest gratitude to the family of the soldiers. Furthermore, the ministry also expressed its gratitude to the family of the late Air Force Lieutenant Colonel Wu Yan-ting for attending the event on 1st August, which was the birthday of Lieutenant Colonel Wu. The photos of “Mini Me” have truthfully manifested the precious sentiment of soldiers’ families.
