Air Force HQ elucidated the inquiry of renewal process of new training airplanes (Sep. 6, 2016)
Due to the recent inquiry of renewal process of new training airplanes, Air Force HQ said the project was approved by Executive Yuan to purchase 66 new training airplanes to meet the fundamental training requirement to elevate the power of air force
Air Force HQ also said the source quoted by the media was part of the 2015 report of government total budget which indicated the potential shortage in the amount of training airplanes after fully discharging F-5 and AT-3 in 2020 and 2021, respectively. ROC Air Force is aware of the situation and has completed the management of the renewal process and the project will be carried out with caution to keep all training on the track
