News from Army Sixth Regiment: Interpretation for the incident of damaged main gun of a CM-11 tank after shooting.

For the news report about the incident of “damaged main gun of a CM-11 tank after shooting”, the Army Sixth Regiment said it happened on a CM-11 tank after second shooting when the 2nd Battalion, 542 Brigade was taking part in pre-calibration for Combat Ability Examination in North Examining Centre. The main gun was damaged for unknown reason at the rear of fume extractor, but fortunately no crew was injured.

Army Sixth Regiment told the news media the unit involved in actually had completed the system check before shooting and now all tanks of the same type have been suspended under the order of Army Command Centre. The regiment has assembled an investing team to cooperate with the one from Army Command Centre to understand the real cause.
